The University of Foggia is celebrating its 25th anniversary. Rector Lo Muzio: Our University has become a point of reference for the entire Italian and European academic panorama thanks to its far-sighted vision and constant commitment to excellence and innovation.
Foggia, 5 August 2024 – On 5 August 1999, the University of Foggia was established by a Ministerial Decree signed by the then Minister of Public Education, University and Research, Senator Ortensio Zecchino.
“With great pride and deep emotion, we celebrate today the 25th anniversary of the founding of the University of Foggia. – Announcement rector Prof. Lorenzo lo Muzio – It is an important place for a University, driven by the commitment and passion to work for the cultural, social and economic development of the city and its territory, despite the great changes and legislative changes that have occurred over time. During these twenty-five years, the University of Foggia has been able to establish itself as a center of academic excellence, research and innovation. Thanks to the commitment and dedication of all teaching and administrative staff, as well as the talent and enthusiasm of our students, we have achieved extraordinary results that make us proud and testify to the quality of the work being done. In these first 25 years of our existence, we have built a campus spread across the city through the rehabilitation and reconstruction of abandoned buildings and the construction of modern and technologically advanced structures that promote excellent teaching and research.
We have established partnerships with academic institutions and research institutions at the national and international level, and have developed a broad, diversified, multidisciplinary training offer that can meet the needs of an increasingly complex and constantly evolving labor market. Thanks to its far-sighted vision and constant commitment to excellence and innovation, our University has become a point of reference for the entire Italian and European academic panorama.
Today, celebrating this important anniversary, strengthened by the goals achieved, we call upon our University to face with renewed enthusiasm a new phase of planning that sees us as protagonists of new development opportunities. The initiatives, which will begin in the fall in conjunction with the opening ceremony of the academic year, will be characterized by a 25th anniversary celebration logo, recalling the institution’s roots and identity values.
