The final version of Android 14 QPR3 arrives: the precursor to Android 15

Google has just released the long awaited update Fall of the June function for its Pixels, and in parallel also the latest version of Android 14 for those who have joined QPR program.

The QPR Android app means Quarterly publication of the program, and consists of versions of Android that include new features that Google introduces to Pixels every three months with Feature Drops. QPR versions can be understood as a previewrelatively stable, of Features Drops of Android.

And it is in this context that the latest Android 14 QPR3 build comes. We talk about the last because later it will be the first stable version from Android 15after which the QPR program will resume with the release of Android 15 QPR1.

Android 14 QPR3 has been in beta for a few months now, which has given Google the opportunity to test all the features introduced as new features. So let’s go and see changelog regarding the latest Android 14 QPR3 update:

• New high resolution mode for Pixel webcam mode.
• Preview for changing keyboard layout when connecting a physical keyboard.
• Updates to some sections of system settings.
• New option to enable keyboard touch vibration.
• New haptic feedback when adjusting brightness from the quick settings panel.
• New option to approve camera software add-ons.

In addition to tangible innovations, Android 14 QPR3 includes several interesting aspects especially important for developers.

The code will be integrated into the public branch of Android Open Source Project (AOSP), and with it will come new ones functionalityupdates and APIs that we will see in Android 15. These are innovations that are not implemented for immediate use by those who install Android 14 QPR3, but will be available to developers for prepare yourself as best you can their products in view of the arrival of Android 15.
